1. General information
1. DERMATOLOGY
Dermatology is the branch of medicine that deals with the knowledge of the human skin and the diseases that primitively or secondarily affect it
2. IMMUNOPATHOLOGY
Immunopathology shows, on the basis of several human pathologies, the connection of the basic knowledge of the immune system and the various immunopathological mechanisms involved in the development of diseases.
3. CLINICAL TOXICOLOGY
Every practicing physician should know that the pathology afflicting their patient, manifesting itself in any device or system, may be of toxic origin.
The approach and objectives of the subject are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 so that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject will the subject enables to contribute to their achievement:

2. Learning results
1. DERMATOLOGY
- To know the morphological and pathological bases and concepts, as well as the necessary terminology, to understand the pathophysiology, clinical semiology, diagnosis, evolution, prognosis and treatment of the main diseases of the skin, dermo papillary mucous membranes, cutaneous appendages and sexually transmitted diseases
- To integrate knowledge of dermato-venereological diseases with the rest of medical and surgical pathology
2. IMMUNOPATHOLOGY
- To know, explain and analyse the immunologic mechanisms involved in the response to infections and in relation to the main human pathologies with altered immune mechanisms: inflammation, immunosuppression, allergy, autoimmunity and cancer
- To recognize, through clinical work strategies, human pathologies related to the alterations of the immune system
- To know the usefulness of the Immunology laboratory and other complementary diagnostic tests in pathologies with immune system alterations
- To integrate knowledge of immune-based diseases with the rest of medical pathology.
3. CLINICAL TOXICOLOGY
- To know the current profile of acute intoxications in our environment
- To understand the mechanisms underlying the interaction of toxic substances with the human organism that explain the clinical expression of acute intoxications.
- To diagnose and treat common acute intoxications that appear in the emergency department
- To know the usefulness of the Toxicology and Biochemistry laboratory and other complementary diagnostic tests
- To know the main sources of toxicological information

5. Assessment system
FINAL GRADE OF THE SUBJECT WEIGHTED AVERAGE of the grade of each block according to its number of credits: DERMATOLOGY (4 ECTS), IMMUNOPATHOLOGY (2.5 ECTS), and CLINICAL TOXICOLOGY (2.5 ECTS) It is NECESSARY TO PASS EACH BLOCK with a MINIMUM GRADE of 5 POINTS (out of 10)
1. DERMATOLOGY
A. Written exam (90%): 50 MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS with 4 distractors and only one valid answer Grading system: Correct answer: +3 points; Incorrect answer: -1 point
B. Completion of MANDATORY Practices/Seminars/Workshops (5%) and presentation of a PORTFOLIO that will include certification of attendance and fulfilment of objectives issued by the teachers.
C. Presentation of 1 clinical case (5%)
2. IMMUNOPATHOLOGY
A. Written exam (90%): 35 MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS with 5 distractors and only one valid answer Grading system: Correct answer: +1 point; Incorrect answer: -0.25 points
B. Completion of MANDATORY Workshops/Seminars (10%) and presentation of a REPORT (minimum attendance of 80%)
3. CLINICAL TOXICOLOGY
A. Written exam (70%): 30 TEST TYPE QUESTIONS with 5 distractors and only one valid answer Grading system: Correct answer: +1 point; Incorrect answer: -0.25 points
B. Resolution of 2 cases (20%) related to the contents of the block
C. Laboratory practices (10%)
